Was anyone else emotionally moved when our new Teaching Pastor Steve introduced his sermon series yesterday by mentioning the long history that CBC has of strong Bible teaching, and thanking Tim for that legacy?

I thought it was a gracious nod to our church's past, as well as pointing to our future when he said that he wasn't Tim...that he was Steve, and that's all he would try to be.

Frankly, Steve, that's all we want. And I'm glad you understand the legacy of who we are as a family at CBC and your role in it. I'm very much looking forward to your using your gifts and talents and your ministry in our midst.

It is quite a blessing to have been as well-taught as we've been for over two decades...

...and I'm appreciative of that reminder.

Unfortunately, due to sermon length, his introductory remarks didn't make the podcast...but if you heard the introductory remarks, weren't they nice?
