April Fool's Day

I was curious about the origins of April Fools' Day.

In my world, it's never been taken seriously. And I don't know of anyone that really does take it seriously...except one couple I know tries to prank each other each year and spend all day trying--usually resulting in failure.

And after reading about it, I still don't get it.
